Our approach to consultation
Engaging with our communities is essential.
A range of opportunities will be provided for people to learn about Australia’s new offshore wind industry, the project and our plans, and to engage in meaningful dialogue.
Once we receive the final award, we will seek input from key stakeholders on the most effective way to communicate information and seek feedback on specific topics of interest or concern. This process will be iterative, providing several ways for stakeholders to engage throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Our intention is to provide clear and accurate information. This will enable our stakeholders to understand and make informed assessments about the potential benefits and impacts of the project, and provide us with feedback to help avoid and minimise these impacts.
In addition to dedicated stakeholder consultation, information about the project may also be shared in forums such as:
- Updates to this website
- Media releases
- Presentations at business and community events or conferences
- Information distributed to registered email addresses
We look forward to working with the key stakeholders and local communities for many years to come.
First Nations Engagement
We respectfully acknowledge the enduring connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have to Country, Sea Country, Community and Culture.
Following final award, we hope to engage broadly with community members and representatives of Worimi and Awabakal Country as well as First Nations stakeholders with the aim of understanding the cultural significance of the land and sea in which the project is planned and how this can inform the project’s development.
