This policy describes how we collect and handle your personal information in accordance with our legal obligations, including under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
References in this policy to “we”, “our” or “us” mean Novocastrian Wind Pty Ltd (ACN 643 655 574) and our related companies identified in section 13.

What personal information do we collect?
The table below identifies the types of personal information we may collect and hold about you. You do not have to provide us with your personal information, but if you choose not to, we may not be able to engage with you, purchase your services or provide you with our services.

How do we collect your personal information?
We mostly collect your personal information directly from you, but we may also collect your information from third parties.
We primarily collect your personal information directly from you, for example when you:
- engage with us to provide us with products or services;
- engage with us to purchase products or services;
- communicate with us through any means (eg email, telephone, chats or via social media platforms); or
- interact with our websites, services, content or our marketing and promotional activities (including when you register as a supplier or for e-news and project updates, via our website).
We may also collect information about you from our related companies, third party service providers and other organisations that we partner with. This may include:

How do we use your personal information?
We use your personal information to enable us to conduct our business.
We may collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information for the purposes set out in the table below. We will only use your sensitive information for purposes you have consented to, or where we are authorised, or required, by law to do so.

How do we use your personal information for marketing, and how do you opt-out?
We may use your personal information for marketing purposes, but you can opt-out at any time.
We may send you marketing and promotional messages and other information about products and services or opportunities that may be of interest to you, including information sent by, or on behalf of, our related companies or business partners. This may take the form of emails, telephone calls, SMS, mail or other electronic means including advertising on social media platforms and websites operated by us or third parties.
If you do not wish to receive direct marketing from us, you can manage your marketing preferences through the unsubscribe facility in the relevant message, through your account on our website, or by contacting us (see section 2).

We may disclose your personal information to recipients outside of Australia for the purposes referred to in this policy, including to: Norway, South Korea, the United States of America, the United Kingdom and Singapore.

How do we store and protect your personal information?
We take a number of measures to keep your personal information safe.
We hold most of your information in electronic systems and databases operated by us or our external service providers. Some information about you may also be recorded in hard copy form.
Our website and our working environment are built with integrated physical, electronic and managerial processes designed to safeguard your information and protect it from misuse, interference loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
We aim to only keep your personal information for as long as we need it or are lawfully required to keep it. When we no longer need information, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
What are your rights in relation to your personal information?
You have rights to access, correct and complain about our use of your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.

When you contact us in relation to your personal information, please include your name and contact details (such as email address and phone number) and clearly describe your request or complaint. We may need to verify your identity before we can process your request.
- Access and correct requests
We try to respond to your access or correction requests within 30 days of your request. If it will take longer than this, we will let you know.
- Where we are not able to fulfil your request to access or correct your personal information for a legal or other reason, we will let you know why.
- Complaints
Unless there are exceptional circumstances, we will formally respond to your complaint within 30 days. If it will take longer than this, we will let you know.
If you’re not happy with the way we handle your query or your information (including our response to your request to access or correct your personal information), you have a right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) – visit oaic.gov.au.
Employees
We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). However, those principles do not apply to certain records and practices relating to the employment relationship between us and our current and former employees in Australia. As such, most of the information contained in this Privacy Policy does not apply to how we use and disclose information relating to our current and former employees.
If you are a current or former employee of us or our related companies (including our joint venture partners and their parent companies) we may collect personal information from you as part of our employment relationship. This information may include:
