The success of this project relies on the involvement of local talent. The Novocastrian Offshore Wind Farm has the potential to create hundreds of jobs and substantial investment in the Hunter region and its people, over its expected 30 year lifespan.

Given the size of offshore wind farms, projects will require a mix of local and international supply chain and workers, especially at the early stage of the industry in Australia. Novocastrian Wind is committed to optimising local opportunities while recognising the need for international experience to take the industry forward.

We are looking closely at utilising existing talent in the Hunter region.

We have mapped out training and requirements for the different stages of the project. Skills from mining, power generation, manufacturing, land and marine logistics, project management and administration can all be transferred into the offshore wind industry.
